Description
Students read excerpts from the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, answer 10 questions, and complete an image analysis for 5 political cartoons (prompts provided). Answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--How did the act apply to someone who brought a Chinese laborer into America?
--Explain why the repercussions discussed for the violations in Sec. 7 are greater than those in Sec. 2.
--Why do you think Sec. 14 was included in the act?
--Why would some business owners or entrepreneurs NOT want Chinese laborers excluded from America?
