Description
Students will be working in groups of two to try to build an object that will float on top of the water and hold as many marshmallow peeps as possible before it sinks under water.
Each group will get about two, 4x4 inch aluminum foil squares, tooth picks, coffee stirrers, plastic straws, dominos, tapes, and glue stick to design their object.
They will be drawing and writing out a design plan and then actively work out their design plan. Students will use tallies to track how peeps their object holds.
They will go to a water station, which will be a tub filled with water along with a pile of peeps to add to their design.
