Description

I am  so glad you are interested in the

Fairy Tale Reader's Theater - The 3 Little Pigs

activity!

Our products are designed to coordinate with fun holidays throughout the year.

This packet is designed to accompany National Tell a Fairy Tale Day, February 26th.

It also makes a great study of the hero's journey.

As you know many (but not all) of the main characters in fairy tales are children. These characters each go on a quest of some sort, their version of the Hero's journey. Even children as young as preschool are able to recognize how awesome it is that the Pigs win over the Big, Bad Wolf for example!

It is my goal with this Reader's Theater spark the hero within, yet be appealing to any age learner. I hope you agree. The scripts in the Homeschool Holiday Reader's Theater Collection are best suited for learners who are in grades 3-5 (or above, we all know middle school learners are just little kids in big bodies!)

The story is a Homeschool Holiday original, based on the original FABLE

The Three Little Pigs.

Each of the 6 parts in the script is designated with a picture, as are the 5 props.

Scripts are designed to be printed for learners. Because they are for older learners, the scripts are not color coded for you - I always found learners engage with their parts by having them color their parts after the selection process was complete.

For the puppets you can choose to have learners use the "Color your Own " (black and white) or the full color version. Assemble them using glue, tape and a craft stick or two each depending on the size. Extra large "puppets" usually work best with 2 sticks. They also work GREAT when attached to paper tubes. This way the puppets will stand nicely on the edge of a desk.

The curriculum contains a link to video instruction for assembling the puppets as well as tips and tricks for implementing Reader's Theater in only 1 weeks time!

I hope your educational journey is BLESSED!
