Fractions Review - Adding and Subtracting with Unlike Denominators - Digital

This Fractions review is a great way to start the school year and make sure students' fractions skills are solid, so you can move on to more difficult concepts. This is the 4th review in my series of review lessons. The slide deck reteaches students how to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.

 The lesson starts with defining multiples and having students find the multiples of different numbers. Students will be given several problems where they will list the multiples of each denominator, and circle the lowest common multiple (LCM). They will then change their denominators to the LCM by finding equivalent fractions. Once they have common denominators, they will add or subtract and simplify if necessary.  Product includes a printable foldable for the interactive notebook, and 2 printable worksheets.
