Geography: Solving Environmental Issues In Africa

Students will enjoy and learn through this higher-level thinking skill assignment. This activity is centered around students, working in teams of two, to identify environmental issues that lead to the wide-spread poverty concerns throughout Africa.

This was used with middle school students of various learning abilities.

Includes: Teacher instructions, links to a video and autobiographical short story of a teen in Africa, printable handouts, overhead for teacher presentation, and grading rubric.
