Keith has 14 years of teaching experience.  He taught 3rd grade for nine years and 5th grade for five years.  He began his teaching career in Grand Prairie ISD near Dallas.  Then he worked at schools in China and Florida.  He loves helping students become lifelong readers.  His favorite part of teaching was seeing kids enjoy quality literature.  He believes in using novels and high-interest nonfiction reading materials to help kids learn reading and social studies standards. Students perform much better when they are reading quality, engaging literature.  That's a big reason why he decided to write nonfiction passages for students in grades 5-6.
