I used this with my yth (special education) reading class with Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, but you can do this project with any book (or an independent reading book).
Visualization is an important component to comprehension.
This listing includes a graphic organizer to complete while reading a chapter or scene of a novel (requires students to describe what they are reading and give specific quotes and evidence from the text). Then draw a representation of what they've read based on the evidence they've collected, then write a description of what they've drawn. There is also a rubric provided.
Note: I've attempted to include Google Drive links for editable copies.
