I created this activity for my students just learning medical terminology. The download comes with two activities:

"Medical Term Detectives": This worksheet reinforces the concept of breaking down complicated medical words into elements for synthesis and understanding.

"Take Two and Call Me in the Morning": Students will receive diagnoses of patients and must break the term down and then decide what to do for that condition. Fun way to apply medical terminology into real world scenarios.

ANSWER KEY

    This activity was awesome. Left it for the students with a sub (they had some background knowledge but not a ton). Most finished in 70 minutes but not all - which is fine. Combined it with the valentine medical activity for those that finished early. The sub was thankful for such a great activity.
