This project was a labor of love for my students. I purchased an Anatomy Coloring Book in hopes that it would help my students learn the muscles in a more creative effective way than just looking at a picture. I was disappointed with what was available so I decided to make one for them.
I illustrated the images, so there's no fear of copy-writing if you want to reproduce these for your students. The coloring book contains:
- Cover Page
- Full body Anterior view
- Full body Posterior view
- Anterior Torso
- Posterior Torso
- Anterior Legs
- Posterior Legs
I use this as a project they work on little by little on days when we have extra time. You could also just pick and choose which pages you want to use.
The download also includes a KEY that I have colored in and filled out.
This project has been amazing for my kids. Their knowledge of the muscles has improved dramatically since using this. I hope you have the same success.

I actually combined this with the Meet the Muscles activity for my Med Term students. There were some muscles that I wanted them to know in detail and others as a group. It was the perfect amount.
Great addition to my handouts - love the illustrations!
