Description
Students are guided in the use of the "Snurfle Islands" computer game found on the internet to learn about Natural Selection. The computer game alone does not teach important features about NATURAL SELECTION, but when paired with this lab worksheet the experience is impactful and fun.
(Note: I did not make the computer game)
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
Lab station materials provided along with a student worksheet.
Questions at the end of the lesson asses understanding. Answer key provided.
