Teaching Figurative Language has always been one of my favorite subjects. Imagine using Pirate jokes and puns and wearing eye patches to really make the lesson engaging! That’s exactly what you can do This September for Talk like a Pirate Day with Homeschool Holiday’s Pirate Puns and Jokes. This lesson can be presented using the slide presentation or with the Exclusive Homeschool Holiday Teaching Video narrated by the one and only Petey Parrot!

Petey guides learners through over 35 informative slides instructing you when to pause and fill in your answers on the companion worksheet. The worksheet comes in both color as well as ink friendly and provides learners a place to jot down their ideas about the clever pirate puns Petey the Parrot reads during the lesson. Everyone will want to know why it takes Pirates so long to learn their alphabet!

Just for FUN I have included a set of Pirate Eye Patches to print and create instant PIRATES of your own! It’s much easier to TALK LIKE A PIRATE when you actually LOOK LIKE A PIRATE!

As a teacher you have little to no prep when Petey the Pirate Parrot does the teaching and your Students, I mean class of mini Pirates will keep their one eye on the lesson and actively listen for the Pirate jokes and puns!
