Social Emotional Learning Activities with Graphic Organizers

Teach your students important social emotional skills with engaging social situation topics and graphic organizers. Lessons are digital and no prep.

Examples of topics include: dealing with annoying peers, boredom, making mistakes, working with adults and handling criticism.

Each slide has a social situation (that can be editable), for group discussion and lessons. The visual organizers (see samples) can then be used to debrief, process and problem-solve those situations.

Many variations are available for using these situation slides.  They can be used as part of a warm-up for students to talk about when they may have been in a slide’s situation, or as a starting point for a social skills lesson.

The first slide has six links to graphic organizers/ charts, located at the end of the presentation’s slides (each situational slide also has links to the various graphic organizers).  Best practice is to collaborate with the student(s) you’re working with through debriefing the situation and exploring the impact of choices made.  The slides/ graphic organizers can be projected onto a whiteboard, or printed out.
