STAAR 8th Grade History Review Games Bundle

These are fun review games to play to prepare for Texas TEKs. There are 4 games over each category tested. These are questions used in previous STAAR tests made into a game. You can put your class into groups or have them individual as I do to see what each student knows. I either give my students small dry erase boards and marker for their answers or give them each a set of A,B,C,D signs I made. As a question comes up, I read it and the answer choices out loud. I give them a moment to think of their answer then yell, "Answers up!". Another options I sometimes do is assign A, B, C, and D to 4 areas of the room and make them all dash to the section for their answer. I also do the same for the icons they choose for correct answers. It keeps them moving, awake, and alert. I click on the screen to reveal the correct answer. All who choose correctly get to pick a historic icon at the bottom of the screen. I click on each chosen to reveal the points they get. You hear applause every time someone is getting points and you hear an explosion when the point value is 0. Students have fun competing and trying to decide which picture is best to choose for their points. You can edit as needed so you can always change the questions or answer choices and the point values to play more than once with a group. These games are each sold separately, but buying them together will save you some money.
