Description
Students receive a donation of a fictional forest in which they decide how to divide and manage. The lab introduces concepts of stewardship and accounting, giving an opportunity to experience the business side of science. Color coding of the equations aids in weak students performing the math.
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
