Description
More than anything I do in the classroom; my students love trivia games the absolute most. I love that the field of medicine can penetrate just about every area of life and Thanksgiving is no different. I came up with 10 fun trivia questions that marry healthcare and the holiday season.
There are also a few ways to play. The first is to simply bring up the question, have students make their guess and then tally their scores. The next is a little more involved. I created a PDF handout where students will select a common food item served at Thanksgiving. The goal is to pick the items they think have the MOST calories. If they get a question correct, they check off one of the foods. At the end of the presentation, I have ranked the items by calories and assigned them a number of points. Students will add up the foods they selected and the student/team with the highest number of points wins!
