Description
Via this lesson package, students will learn about the Counter Reformation through a Stations Activity.
First, students will view a PowerPoint that introduces them to three main subjects within the Counter Reformation - the Inquisition, the Council of Trent, and Ignatius of Loyola.
After this overview, students will visit 5 stations in which they will view primary and secondary sources (Ignatius of Loyola Biography, Excerpt from a letter from Ignatius of Loyola to Father Fulvio Androzzi, and the Council of Trent) that elaborate on these topics. As they read and analyze these sources, students will complete a worksheet that asks them to do a variety of things ranging from answering questions to creating a timeline. This will help them understand the main points of each reading and deepen their understanding of the Counter Reformation in general.
Finally, students will use what they've learned to answer an Exit Ticket question.
