Description
Enjoy this fairytale adaptation of The Three Little Pigs Reader's Theater called, "The Three Green Thumb Gardeners and Mr. Pesky Pesticide". Students will enjoy reading their parts in class and/or virtually with a digital version of the script.
This product also includes comparison charts to compare with classic three little pigs fairytale, similarities and differences charts, graphic organizer to plan out their own adaptation, draft and final draft paper, editing checklist and grading rubric.
Teacher Directions for resource:
1.Utilize printable readers theater in class.
2.Utilize digital readers theater script with virtual class, assigning reading roles and having students highlight their part on their own digital copy. Read through script in virtual meeting. *optional: students come up with costumes to wear from home*
3.Read classic version of the 3 Little Pigs first and then Compare/Contrast The 3 Green Thumb Gardeners and Mr. Pesky Pesticide with the 3 little pigs prior to reader’s theater to discuss adaptations of fairytales. (organizers provided for comparing and contrasting at end of document)
4.Students can plan out and draft their own version of 3 Little pigs with graphic organizer and writing paper.Student editing checklist and Rubric for grading is also provided.
