Description
Looking for a new US History vocabulary review activity to add to your toolbox? This is a fun review for the Vietnam War and 1960s using the tumbling wooden block game History Blocks! It's a hands-on, low-prep review activity!
- You could use this in groups, as a station activity, or as a whole class review. I love that it is student driven!
- You can play this with just one set of blocks or if you can get multiple sets you can play in groups.
- If you have multiple sets, you could have students play this Vietnam War 1960s set at one station, and the World War II set at another station etc. Suggestions for implementation are included in this purchase.
Once you label your set with numbers, it can be used for ANY History Blocks activity in my store.
What is included?
- Teacher instructions and suggestions for obtaining block sets
- 3 pages of questions (54) - (Based on the Texas TEKS)
- Key
Why students love this activity?
- They take the lead to review!
- They collaborate, discuss and have fun in groups!
- "Duh, it's a game! But we're having fun reviewing for our test!" (said by my student)
Why teachers love this activity?
- You set up the blocks one time (label) and you can use them over and over all year!
- Once you get students started, you are "hands-off" to do other things - grade away my friends!
- Engaging and student driven!
