Description

Students complete a 3 part interview to review Alexander the Great and his time in power. They first answer 7 questions to review his life and accomplishments, then they interview Alexander after he comes to power, and in the third part students conduct his last interview while he is on his deathbed (11 questions and answers). There is a bonus creative opportunity as a final task. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Why did Alexander leave regents in place as he conquered each location? Give an example of one regent from one location.
--Identify and discuss the connections between Darius, Persia, the Battle of Gaugamela, and Alexander the Great.
--Was Alexander a “great” leader, why or why not? Provide specific examples to support your answer.
--What do you think will be your biggest challenge in achieving your goals?
--What do you consider your greatest success?
--Do you have any regrets from your time in power? If so what and why, or why not?
--If you could give your 22 year old self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
