The enclosed materials will provide you with an AP Biology course that has been time tested in my classroom. Appropriate revisions and additions have been made to the materials to conform to the changes in the 2019-2020 AP Biology curriculum. The PowerPoints and diverse collection of learning materials contain more than 1050 pages of materials and over 1,350 PowerPoint slides. Most of the materials are fully editable to meet your specific course requirements. Many of these materials may also be useful in an introductory college biology class. The PowerPoints and cloze completion notes associated with each individual units will allow you to implement your instruction in clear and methodical manner. Homework activities, quizzes, links to other useful web resources, tests and in some units labs have been included as well.

Each unit also contains the learning goals for the unit, correlation to the 2019-2020 College Board/ETS, NGSS and Common Core standards. The objectives of the course are addressed within the 20 different units. The topics of nervous function and immunity which are not required in the most recent course revisions are included as well, making a total of 23 unit learning packages in the downloadable zip file.

You can use the entire contents of this zip file to create a new or improved course, or pick and choose the lessons you want to teach and apply to your own curriculum as you see fit. These materials would also be suitable in smaller elective classes for upper level classes as well. Many of the files are very editable to your needs. These files would work well to assist in building a flipped classroom setup. Most files are well suited for use in a distance learning setting.

I have not included a teaching timeline for these materials as the Educational Testing Service has released suggested time frames for teaching each unit.

This package contains a myriad of materials, but lesson plans beyond the learning objectives are not included. Many curricula for the course are posted online and at the website of the Educational Testing Service.
