Description

Students will read 9 quotes related to Civil Rights from 1944-1965 from various point of view, analyze 7 images, and answer 20 questions. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate. 

Sample questions include:
--What actions or steps had been taken to assure American society that such honor, peace, and dignity would be respected and pursued?
--Why did this part of the movement have such a resounding impact on Civil Rights as a whole?
--What does Kennedy’s last line imply about the current state of the Civil Rights movement?
--Comparing FDR’s quote to JFK’s quote, was FDR’s goal achieved, why or why not?
--Explain why fighting for civil rights could be classified as, or considered, a revolution.
--According to the ruling, why was legal segregation worse to live under than social segregation?
