Description

Students will read excerpts from Madison's Federalist No. 10 of the Federalist Papers and answer 18 questions. They will then read 3 statements from the opposite point of view and answer two more questions. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--For what purpose, or why, have the factions formed?
--Re-write “inflamed them with mutual animosity” in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
--Does the second paragraph support the inevitability of political parties, why or why not?
--What would, or should, be the government’s responsibility when faced with such divisions?
--How successfully does Federalist No. 10 respond to these excerpts?
