Incorporate the Broadway smash hit musical Hamilton in your classroom!
"Guns and Ships" describes the contributions Marquis de Lafayette made to the American Revolution and highlights the relationship George Washington and Alexander Hamilton had during the war. I added my own guiding questions to the analysis column but feel free to change them and add your own!
For my classroom, I had the students listen first while following along on the lyrics sheet. I played the song a second time so they could highlight/underline words they didn't know and lines they thought were important. Then they worked with a partner on the analysis column and at the end we shared as a class.
