Do you need a fun way to teach rhythms and note values? Playing rhythm baseball allows you to teach and assess sight-reading skills, rhythm, and note values while allowing your kids to play a highly engaging, competitive, and exciting music game! I even let the kids play this outside during the warm months. My students love playing this game with a real baseball (or other soft ball) on the baseball field!
Read some of my additional game instructions for Musical Baseball and some really great lesson ideas on my blog!
Rhythms are all one measure and written in common time.
Note/rest values included in the game are:
- Quarter note/rest
- Pair of eighth notes
- Half note/rest
- Whole note/rest
- Sixteenth notes
