Description

Students will read and analyze an account of the death of Socrates and two brief points of view on his teachings and trial by answering 16 questions and completing an extension task. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Infer the feelings and thought process Socrates had upon receiving the cup of hemlock and instructions.
--Explain "gave the man his stolid look" in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
--Why might Socrates have focused on what he owed to Asclepius in his final moments?
--Explain the long term impact on Athens of what the sons have been taught.
--Summarize what Socrates asserts has been his intention and goal.
