Transformations of Functions Riddle Activity

Students will:

* transform different functions (quadratics, absolute value, cubic, radical, exponential...)

Students practice with transformations of different types of functions in this fun riddle activity! Includes quadratics, absolute value, cubic, radical and exponential functions. Students examine the function given and determine the shift, flip, stretch or shrink it applies to the parent function. Students then match their answers to the answers below to answer the riddle. Self-checking and fun! Can be done collaboratively or individually. Students can use the graphing calculator if desired. Answer key included.
