Need a classroom-ready geography resource? This middle and high school unit helps students develop core skills in map reading, physical geography, and human geography. Learners will engage with the five themes of geography while also examining the world through political, social, and cultural perspectives. Designed as an introduction to geography, this resource builds critical thinking and helps students connect real-world relationships between people, places, and environments.

Make geography meaningful and accessible for every student!

Having a basic understanding of geography concepts can be helpful when teaching this material, but it’s not required. If you’re new to geography or haven’t taught it before, you can easily prepare by reviewing the student materials ahead of time to support your students as they work through the activities. While a bit of upfront familiarization is recommended, this resource is designed to save you 20+ hours of planning and preparation.

This lesson is composed of the first five days (Week 1).
