2 Activity Options:
Option 1 – Jigsaw Activity: 3 readings are provided to students. These readings can be divided up by the instructor as they fit. Each student should focus on one reading and its section of the graphic organizer. Once given time to complete this section, students can share their section with their peers and later the whole class. Eventually the class can come together to get information for the entire organizer.
Option 2- Picture Activity: This was designed to be a bit quicker than Option 1. Students receive a chart with various information about geography. (Students can also use the readings from Option 1). Using the chart, or readings, students complete a worksheet that has various pictures on it. They must connect the different sections of the chart to the pictures on the worksheet and explain this connection. (Each picture is designed to go with a specific section, but there can be some flexibility with students’ responses if the connection makes sense)
Full Answer Key is included for each activity!
