Description
This activity allows students to debate the issue of an equal rights amendment to the Constitution. After studying the background of the E.R.A. and both sides of the issue, students are asked to support or oppose a constitutional amendment. They are then placed on a team, based on their position, and asked to write an editorial in support of or opposition to ratification of the amendment.
