Geography Study Unit based Crosswords and Wordsearches (Answer Keys included)

We have taken our popular geography crosswords and wordsearches from our successful range of Geography Escape Rooms, to create this product enabling teachers to work with their students introducing the meaning of specific, topic-related vocabulary within the following topics:

• Volcanoes
• Oceans
• Rainforests
• Continents
• Deserts

Within this product, you will receive a wordsearch and crossword for each theme and an answer key.

Each wordsearch includes over 25 words linked to the topic being studied, encouraging the students to search for the words within the grid. By doing this, the students begin to learn the spellings of the subject specific vocabulary and supports their geographical language skills development.

Each crossword has a set number of clues, with the answers structured within a grid. As each word is revealed, the added letters support students to work out more complex, topic-related vocabulary in order to complete each crossword. The answer key to each crossword saves the teacher time, and also allows self-assessment of students too.

This is a growing bundle, and as we produce more Geographical resources, we will add them to the products included in this bundle - allowing you to download them free when published.

These crosswords have been taken from our Geography themed Escape Rooms which can be viewed here, as well as bought in a bundle to save $$$$.

These crosswords are great activities to either introduce or embed the key vocabulary of different geographical topics, not to mention a great aid to support spelling, remote learning, Literacy center holding activities and for those early finishers when you need something quick and easy to do. Students of all ages will enjoy these crosswords and will challenge one another to complete them first.
