For years I was using worksheets provided by the textbook resources to review the major terms and concepts of health insurance. But after completing them, I realized my students were simply regurgitation the information and not actually synthesizing or comprehending the materials. So I came up with these two worksheets to encourage students to have a deeper understanding. Topics include terminology (deductible, co-insurance, co-pay, premium, out of pocket max etc.) as well as provider entities like Medicare, Medicaid, PPO and HMO.

Health Insurance 101
Really helps students understand the cost of insurance and how it works. The numbers for National General Insurance are different on the answer key from the student worksheet. I didn't catch it before hand so it led to a little bit of confusion. But easy enough to change on the key for next time!
