This is a presentation on the Vietnam War. It was used in class and over the years it was edited , and added to, and works well and holds class interest. It was even used in a school wide presentation. Vietnam-Causes details the beginning of the war, and US involvement, as well as the Gulf of Tonkin crisis, the escalation of the war, Tet offensive, Johnson, Nixon and the pressure of the anti war movement (Kent State ) , to the final withdrawal of US troops in 1975.
52 slides targeted at 11th and 12th grade high school students. I would allow 2 class periods ( 50 minutes x2), although it may go longer.
There are text slides, maps, charts, questions to think about, and images, links and video links all through out the presentation. All links were operating as of Jan 2019. Slides can easily be edited or hidden, to fit the age and learning level of the class. Try this out. It’s good and it works. A high interest level unit for high school.
