Description
Kindness Game
Kindness is an important quality that we want to nurture in all kids. This game will get kids thinking about ways to be kind to one another and actions that may hurt someone.
The kids will have to be creative as they create their own game spaces and think critically as they develop a game where the kindest player is victorious.
Directions for Use:
- Print off one game board per student.
- Before starting, explain the importance of being kind and treating others with respect. Brainstorm a few ideas about ways kids can be kind (e.g.: sharing a cookie at lunch, inviting someone who is being left out to join a game of tag, etc.). Then talk about actions that hurt someone’s feelings and why those actions hurt others. Try to get the kids to empathize with others by asking them how they might feel if someone left them out or called them names.
- Pass out a game board to each student. Each student will fill in the spaces to create their own game. Students will fill spaces with both kind and unkind actions.
- When the kids are done, let them take turns playing the game with partners.
This game can be used any time of the year. February 17th is National Kindness Day and this is the perfect time to use this project also. Cover Clipart provided by P4 Clip.

Kindness Game
My kids loved being able to create something of their own and we used it to create a classroom policy of kindness
