Description

We have developed this game of Snap! for Roman Numerals to be paired with ordinary numbers - and what better way than the fast and speedy game of Snap!

The game consists of 1o0 cards - 50 cards for each player.

Questions consist using a wide range of Roman Numerals:

  • I
  • V
  • X
  • L
  • C
  • D
  • M

This game is ideal for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade children (Y4, Y5 and Y6 UK). Working in pairs, the cards are cut up and sorted into two equal piles.

Player one lays down the first card. Player two lays their card. If the two match with number and roman numeral the first player to shout Snap! wins the cards. The first player to win all 100 cards is the winner.

Once downloaded and prepared, these cards can also be used for the following activities:

  • Flash cards for the whole class or groups of children
  • Simplified Loop Game
  • Maths Center Activity
