Description

Are you looking for an interactive Texas History review game? This review game is perfect to use to review for a test or on those days when you wrap up your lesson early and need a review activity for the last 10 minutes of class. ZERO PREP! It is completely editable - in PowerPoint!

How to Play?

  • Students stand up and pair up. You can also do groups of 4. Half of each group faces your projector screen and the other half of each group has their back to the screen. You project a slide from the game on your screen. The students facing the screen give clues to their group (with their backs to the screen) to try and get them to guess each of the items they see. After 2-3 minutes you debrief with them, then students switch places.

This is an active review game that allows for students to take the leadIf you listen carefully, you'll be able to tell immediately what they are still struggling with and can debrief/review accordingly.

This product covers the Texas Standards (TEKS) - but since I've left this in Power Point, you can edit the content to fit your needs.

What is included:

  • PowerPoint that includes all of Texas History key people, vocab, battles, dates - you name it!
  • Everything is editable. I've included the following units, but you can change them if you need to. I've found that many districts call their units different things (or split them into different units), so feel free to edit to your needs.

Texas History Units included:

  • Natural Texas and its people
  • Age of contact
  • Spanish Colonial/Mexican Nationalism
  • Texas Revolution
  • Texas Republic
  • Statehood and Government
  • Texas - Civil War and Reconstruction
  • Frontier and Age of Industry
  • World Conflicts - WWI & WWII
  • Civil Rights and Modern Texas
