ECOSYSTEMS UNIT ASSESSMENT & PROJECTS (5TH GRADE)

In a 5th grade science unit, students will explore the fascinating world of ecosystems assessment and projects. They will learn that ecosystems are intricate networks of living organisms and their physical environment, working together in harmony. Through assessments, students will examine the health of ecosystems, measuring factors like biodiversity, water quality, and air pollution. They will then engage in projects to address environmental issues, such as designing a sustainable garden, creating a model habitat, or implementing recycling initiatives. These activities will empower students to understand the delicate balance of ecosystems and inspire them to become responsible stewards of our planet.

This assessment includes 18 questions, both short answer and multiple choice, as well as extra credit extended response. There are 3 possible end of unit projects suggested for students.
