Description
Students learn how to make an EVOLUTIONARY cladogram using Apple corporation mobile products (ipods, iphones, ipads, etc). The lab shows how new adaptations can lead to branches in evolution trees. The thought process involved in the lab makes reading cladograms easier. The students end the lab by observing cladograms and answers questions.
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
Lab station materials provided along with a student worksheet.
