Introduction to Chemistry - Chemical Reactions Crossword Puzzle

This listing features two versions of a one-page crossword puzzle about the basics of chemical reactions. One version includes a word bank for differentiation purposes while the other does not. I assign this activity in the introductory chemistry unit of my eighth-grade physical science class. High school chemistry teachers could also utilize this crossword puzzle and the others in the series for a remedial review to kick off their year.

The eleven terms the clues cover are – decomposition (reaction), subscripts, reactants, coefficient, symbol, conservation of mass, chemical equation, chemical formula, replacement (reaction), synthesis (reaction), and product.

I added a non-grid answer sheet on a third page.
