Description

Welcome! Students in physical science and chemistry often need help defining, classifying, identifying, and distinguishing physical changes and chemical reactions. This activity will help students deepen their understanding of the learning targets stated above. Students will classify thirty-six scenarios as being physical changes or chemical reactions. Then they will define both processes and describe the patterns that profile each one.

This full-page activity has an introductory paragraph that provides background information for both processes.

This PDF document will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Program.

I included a full-page key with the answers in colored font. In the key, physical change answers are bright red, and chemical reaction answers are bright blue to help the teacher sort the answers when grading.
