Description

Prehistoric Art Museum Exhibition - AP Art History - Print & Digital - Google Drive

While the majority of my AP Art History class focuses on teaching to the 250, I don't want to limit students to studying just those works. There are a lot of other works of equal importance worth learning about. That is why I designed this Prehistoric Art Museum Exhibition lesson in which students can research and learn more about Prehistoric portable and cave art.

I designed this activity to be taught toward the end of my Prehistoric Art unit. This way, students can enrich their understanding of prehistoric art while also making connections to the artwork they already learned about in this unit. In this activity, students research and define portable and cave art. They then use website links to research additional pieces of prehistoric art to include in an exhibit they are crafting. At the end of the activity, students write an article for their museum's website summarizing their key findings.
