Description

Students analyze 18 documents (half images and half text), answer 18 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review the New Deal. There are 10 essay prompts for students to choose from (one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub!  ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***

Sample questions include:
--How does Document 1 support or oppose the New Deal?
--Inferring from the historical context, how accurate was the prediction made in Document 2?
--How is Document 4 connected to the New Deal?
--What does Document 8 imply about the state of the government in 1940?
--Explain how Document 11 criticizes FDR as a president.
--Would FDR consider Harold Ickes an ally as per Document 13, why or why not?
