The Reformation DBQ

Students will analyze 17 documents (6 are images), answer 17 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review the Protestant Reformation. There are 11 essay prompts for students to choose from (one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub!  ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***

Sample questions include:
--Identify the purpose of Document 1, and the country it impacted.
--Identify and describe an effect of Document 4.
--Describe the historical context of Document 5.
--Summarize the point of view of Document 8.
--Re-write Document 9 in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
--Which Protestant belief, or stance, is being described in Document 12?
--Explain the impact of Document 16 on the Protestant Reformation.
