Accounting - Journalizing Transactions in a General Journal Unit

This is the Recording Transaction in a General Journal Unit that I typically use after the T Account Unit for Intro to Accounting Students.  

 I use these materials over six- 45 minute class periods.  

 Day 1

1. Show students the Parts of the General Journal slides with examples.  
2. Complete the Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 1 with students. 
3. Have students complete the Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 2 individually. 

 Day 2 

1. Complete Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 3 with students. 
2. Have students complete the Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 4 individually. 

 Day 3

1. Complete the Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 5 with students.
2. Have students complete the Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 6 individually. 

 Day 4

1. Have students complete Recording Transactions in a General Journal Worksheet 7 individually. 

Day 5

1. Have students Complete Quiz A as a Review and go over as a class.

Day 6

1. Have students Complete Quiz B for a quiz grade.
