3 Different Activity Options!

Activity Option 1 (Shorter Version) Students use an already completed chart with the basics about the different climate zones. Using this resource they will select 4 climates, and with these climates:

2. Assess the advantages/ disadvantages of living in this climate region and assess easy/difficult is it to find food and water, deal with the weather and get proper shelter?

Using the reading/map they will:

1. Use a color, and key for the different climate regions, label and color them in on the map/chart provided

2. On the back of the map, complete the table where they will describe the climate and what it’s like. Assess the advantages/ disadvantages of living in this climate region. Also think about the adaptations they would need to make to survive in the area.

New! - Activity Option 3: Picture Activity:

Students use either the chart from option 1 or the reading from option 2 to complete the picture activity worksheet. For this worksheet, students will examine a picture and guess which climate type it is. They must the briefly describe the climate and then rank it compared to other ones
