Accounting - T Account Unit

I use this T- Account Unit after the Accounting Equation Unit with my Intro to Accounting students. 

I use these materials over six, 45 minute, class periods. 

Day 1

1. Start with the T Account Debit and Credit Parts PowerPoint. Go over the parts of a T Account and how the Normal Balance depends on the Account type.

2. Complete the T Account Debit and Credit Parts Worksheet 1 together with students. 

        3. Have students complete the T Account Debit and Credit Parts Worksheet 2 individually.

Day 2

1. Complete the Analyzing Transactions Using T Accounts Worksheet 1 with students. 

2. Have students complete Analyzing Transactions Using T Accounts Worksheet 2 individually. 

Day 3

         1. Complete the Analyzing Transactions Using T Accounts Worksheet 3 with students. 

         2. Have students complete Analyzing Transactions Using T Accounts Worksheet 4 individually. 

Day 4

        1.  Have students complete Analyzing Transactions Using T Accounts Worksheet 5 individually.

Day 5

1. Have students complete T Accounts Quiz A and then go over the answers with the students. 

Day 6

        1. Have students complete T Accounts Quiz B and take a quiz grade.
