Description

Students will read Wilson's 14 Points from World War 1 (WW1), answer 18 analytical questions, and re-write the document in their own words. They will also analyze the overall message and point of view of 9 political cartoons for the League of Nations. There are 4 other tasks to complete based on the 14 Points and which were most relevant for Americans at the time. The answers are included where appropriate. The primary source and image analysis part of this would be great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--What is the goal of item I? Cite evidence from the text to support your answer.
--Describe what kind of "economic barrier" could be referred to in item III.
--Explain the value to Serbia in having "free and secure access to the sea."
--Does item IX need more information in it, why or why not?
--What is Wilson referring to in item XIV and what purpose would it serve?
-- If you could go back and give Wilson 2 pieces of advice as he puts together these points and presents them, what would you say to him and why?
--Overall, would you consider this document a success or a failure and why?
