Description
The purpose of this assignment is to illustrate to students how “slippery” the term Progressivism is. While it is a good term to help generalize a rather scattered era of American history, it is important that students understand the flaws of the term. Each of the above people, events, or laws was considered progressive. In addition, not all were consistent in our conception of Progressivism. Student's will be given the definition of progressivism but need to decide based on a primary document if the person or act was "progressive."
