Description
Print, Cut, Go!
Need a quick, easy activity or station for your students to review their perfect simplifying fractions? You’ll love this one! The concept is that students use a spatula to flip pancakes, bacon and eggs if they know what the simplified fraction is for the number shown. There are several ways to implement this set. You could make it a station. Students identify the food item they are going to give the answer, say the answer and then flip the food item. If they get it right, they remove the item from the play area. You could also make this a competition. Make two or more sets of this activity. Put a set in front of each student and pair them with a student who fact checks their answers. As they give the correct answer they add the food card to the pile of right answers. First one to get all the answers correct, wins!
This activity includes:
- 20 breakfast themed cards in color
- A chart of perfect square roots.
You could have the kids flip these cards with their hands but personally I like them to use a real spatula to add to the fun of the activity.
