Are you tired of using PowerPoints in your class daily but unsure how to mix things up? Look no further -- this activity has you covered! Students will read articles about Shiva as Lord of Dance (Nataraja) and the Great Stupa at Sanchi. As they read, students will fill out a Cloze Read activity (that emulates a WebQuest but with the articles already provided). At the end, students will write a Free Response Question (FRQ) focusing on the theme of Compare and Contrast. This lesson is the perfect way to teach about these two pieces of art from the 250 in a fun and engaging way. This lesson also works as a great sub lesson plan!

This resource comes as a Google Drive resource. While the packet could be assigned digitally, it is intended to be printed out. When you download this resource, you will see the terms of use and printing notes. On the printing notes page, you will have a link to the Google Drive folder. You will need to make a copy of the material if you would like to edit it.
