Discussion Based Writing Unit - Greatest Military Commander of All Time?

This is a discussion based writing unit discussing who was the greatest military commander of all time. The unit has been split into five separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. 

The first two lessons involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Hannibal, Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar, and writing these on to an included fact sheet. In the third lesson students need to use these facts to write five to six paragraphs about the individual Egyptian leaders. In the fourth lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. Then, in the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.
